Frances Bean Cobain plastic surgery is one for statistics on teenage plastic surgery.  At 18, years old, she already had her first surgery. According to American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in 2010 alone, approximately 219,000 plastic surgeries were performed on people between ages 13-19. 
Fifty percent of which are for nose reshaping and eleven percent were done to correct large ears.  In addition around 4,600 were performed on breast reduction among 13-19 years old, and male breast reduction comprised 17 percent in the same age bracket.  Clearly, from these statistics alone, one can conclude that plastic surgery among teenagers is increasing. 

Here is a question, is Frances Bean Cobain plastic surgery appropriate.  There are lots of debates when it comes to plastic surgery among teenagers.  Of course, there is no issue if it is for health and medical reasons.  What about if it is for vanity and solve insecurity problems?  It is important to note that teenagers are unique category of people and thus they should be informed on the short and long term consequences of having plastic surgery at a young age.  Thus, it is important to bring into their mind the safety aspect of the procedure. They should be able to understand if the rewards outweigh the risks.  And, more importantly it is better to determine if he or she is a potential candidate for plastic surgery.
